Proceedings of the Second and Third Scientific-Professional Conference: Research in Methodologies of Educational Practice: Results and Specificities
Synopsis
The proceedings of the Second and Third Scientific-Professional Conference Research in Methodologies of Educational Practice: Results and Specificities, organised by the Department of Pedagogy and Teaching Methodologies of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka, thematically bring together contemporary theoretical reflections and empirical insights into the development and application of teaching methodologies in preschool education, primary classroom teaching, subject-based teaching in primary and secondary schools, as well as the methodology of pedagogues’ professional practice. The conference, continuously organised since 2022, brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from the region, and the contributions are structured through plenary presentations and thematic sections dedicated to preschool education methodology, methodologies of educational practice in primary classroom teaching, and methodologies of subject-based teaching.
The volume addresses the constitutive scientific and epistemological-methodological specificities of methodology as a disciplinary field, as well as a range of concrete pedagogical and methodological issues related to children’s adaptation, perceptions and professional roles of preschool teachers, the effects of institutional early education on pupils’ learning outcomes, the integration of artistic and cultural content into teaching, the application of contemporary instructional approaches and educational technologies, and the evaluation of the effects of different didactic approaches. The contributions highlight the interdisciplinary character of teaching methodologies, the need to ground educational practice in empirical evidence and continuous professional development of preschool teachers and teachers, as well as the importance of aligning methodological procedures with the developmental, cultural, and contextual specificities of children and pupils. As a whole, the proceedings contribute to the systematisation of contemporary research trends in the field of educational methodologies and represent a relevant resource for advancing theoretical insights and practical solutions in educational practice.
