Synopsis

Focus in our schools is still on the results, which are expressed as scores or marks, being treated as a confirmation of what was learned. Gradually, it becomes a goal on it’s own – a struggle for as much as higher result. By orientation to mastering, we are getting closer to the values of the developmental mental attitude or to an approach that advocates the discourse of human development, so, if we would speak about an ultimate goal, that would be happiness and maturity that a student accomplished in a particular unit of monitoring.

Now is the ultimate time to put the strategic learning on healthy foundations:

  • learning is not only memorizing;
  • learning is a process in steps, successfull, less successfull or unsuccessfull ones;
  • learning is mastering;
  • learning is diferrent in various ages and in various contexts;
  • learning is culturologically conditioned;
  • learning is diferrent in diferrent individuals;
  • learning is not only cognitive, but also emotional, social and working-actional;
  • learning includes all senses;
  • learning is understanding;
  • learning is discovering and insight;
  • it can be learned how to learn.
