Amphibians of the Republic of Srpska

The scientific monograph “Amphibians of the Republic of Srpska” provides the first systematic overview of relevant scientific knowledge on the diversity, morphology, and ecology of native amphibian species inhabiting the territory of the Republic of Srpska. The monograph presents a total of 19 amphibian species, of which seven belong to the order Caudata and 12 to the order Anura. In addition to data available from the relevant scientific literature, the monograph incorporates the results of the authorsˊ long-term field research, thereby contributing significantly to a better understanding of amphibian diversity and ecology in this area. A particular value of the monograph lies in its extensive photographic documentation, which includes original photographs of species recorded during field research.

The monograph is intended for students enrolled in the Biology and Ecology and Environmental Protection study programmes  at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics on the University of Banja Luka, as well as for biology and ecology teachers and professors in primary and secondary schools throughout the Republic of Srpska, and for all interested readers and nature enthusiasts.
