Synopsis

"Let's sing joyfully", a collection of songs for children's and women's choirs, is intended for teacher training students, professors and students of all grades of elementary general education schools. We were not guided by rigid criteria when choosing songs. We wanted them to be diverse, to be in line with the development of the musical competences of the target groups for which they are intended, and primarily to contribute to the preservation of the traditions of the Balkan peoples. For some songs, as an example, we have given two versions of two voices (making a second voice), not only in the "harmonic" sense, but also to choose the version that is more acceptable according to the vocal capabilities or perhaps the preference of the performer. All songs and games with singing can be performed with instrumental accompaniment. Also, teachers can transpose them according to their needs. Most of the examples have marked tempo (character) and dynamics, and there are also a number of songs where agogic signs were consciously avoided, which is how we wanted to give freedom of interpretation and musical experience to the conductors themselves and the performance.
