The manuscript of the monograph is divided into 15 chapters, which together form a meaningful and organizational whole that introduces the reader to the issues of periodontal pathology and the etiological phase of treatment. The introductory chapters provide a concise and precise overview of current knowledge through the presentation of anatomical structures, as well as the classification of periodontal diseases and their detailed elaboration. Further throughout the manuscript, a modern, scientifically supported, and clinically tested approach to the etiological treatment of all forms of periodontal and peri-implant diseases is presented. The final part of the manuscript highlights the results of individual modalities of etiological therapy and their maintenance, which can only be achieved through successful cooperation between the therapist and the patient.
At the end of the monograph, the therapeutic modalities of specific periodontal diseases are discussed, concluding this work with an approach to unstable periodontal diseases, which represent the greatest challenge of today. Throughout the entire text, the author's own clinical and scientific experiences are interwoven, supported by self-citations, as well as a comprehensive and extensive list of literature references that represent the pinnacle of contemporary periodontal science and clinical experience.
